I Finally Have A Current Gaming Console Wheee

Thanks to Prime Day, I now have a PS4. I can now play current generation games that I’ve been sitting on the sidelines watching others play while I stuck to my Xbox 360 library and what few low-end games my little laptop can actually run.

The bundle came with a digital download of [amazon_textlink asin=’B00JK00S0S’ text=’The Last of Us’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’meadhbh-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’72f64540-68b9-11e7-840d-69b68ee9ab59′], which is the game I’m most excited for and that I most missed being able to play when it came out and all of my friends could talk of nothing else. From everything I’ve seen, it’s a game that elevates game design and storytelling to an art form.

Also in the running to be played are, well, basically all of the Uncharted games since I have played none of them (and [amazon_textlink asin=’B00GODZYNA’ text=’Uncharted 4‘ template=’ProductLink’ store=’meadhbh-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’1ddce197-68ba-11e7-b04a-a1b65d4a15f9′] came with the console), Horizon: Zero Dawn, Witcher 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and, well, there are too many games out there I haven’t played already! The list is almost overwhelming. There are also some games I would like to eventually revisit, like Dragon Age: Inquisition, because the DLC was not available on the Xbox 360.

So I’m going to take you all on a gaming trip with me. Sure, a lot of these games have been out long enough to be old, but they’re new to me, and I have done a fairly good job at avoiding spoilers considering that I am surrounded on all sides by fellow gamers. Pretty much all I know about The Last of Us is that it can be difficult and that it is sad. Almost everything will be completely new to me.

So follow along with me as I catch up on the latest gaming masterpieces, and maybe a few flops. It’ll be fun!
